Forget the age of the characters this story is more about two people finding love and learning that finding love doesn't mean replacing a love who is gone. Also this story shows that it's not always grand adventure or conflict that can bring love together.

My Thoughts - 5 out of 5 Unicorns - I loved it!!! ***Received the ebook from the author for an honest review The cover is beautiful and inspirational. This is the 3rd book in this spin off series. It is for adults only due to the steamy scenes. While this book could be a stand-alone, I definitely advise against it. I have yet to read a book in this series that I love, and you would be doing yourself a disservice to not read them all and in the order they were written for both series. The world is so much richer and you will love all the characters you meet along the way….well except maybe the bad guys. This book did not have the action most of Jessie’s books have because it was focused on the finding love after the loss of a mate and insecurities of not being young. It was a touching story and yes made me tear up happy tears several times. I’m a sap. I loved every moment of it. Sometimes Jessie makes love looks easy. It can get someone dreaming…lol I highly recommend all of Jessie’s dragon shifter books (I’ve read and loved them all, and I do own most of them too!) I think there are only 3 or 4 books in another series that I haven’t read yet, but I do own them :) I can’t wait to read more of Jessie’s dragons….hopefully sooner rather than later!

Donovan takes a look at a different side of dragon culture with this one. I loved how she highlighted different aspects of their lives while also telling an excitingly romantic tale. The world that she presents is breathtaking and the lives of the characters are endlessly exciting. Ross & Lorna are quite the pair throughout this novella. The banter and true emotion between them was so much fun. I love the way that Ross helps Lorna see herself through his eyes. They way that they complement each other, yet also still stand on their own was great. Also, the family based concerns that they both have were quite reassuring, showing just how similar dragons and humans can be. Ross and Fraser’s moment was so real. It wasn’t all emotional and touchey-feeley, but rather truly showcased both of their personalities and concerns. As a whole, this was a unique and touching look at Ross & Lorna while still being a hot dragonshifter tale. Please note that I received a complimentary copy of this work in exchange for an honest review.

You’re never too old for love Lorna MacKenzie has raised her twin boys and their younger sister by herself after losing her true mate just before her youngest was born. More than 30 years she’s cared for others and not taken another mate. Her one son’s mate, Holly brought her father (Ross) to Lochguard the help him get treatments for cancer. Ross Anderson has been staying with Lorna while getting better. And the time final arrived that he’s cancer free and feel he has a future and he hope to make that future with Lorna. Only he sees her on the arm of a dashing Dragonman and is wondering if he waited too long to make his move. This is a wonderful self-contained love story with a HEA. Well written and very entertaining to read.

This was the story of Lorna McKenzie who's husband has been dead for 30 years. She has never felt the need or had the inclination to replace his memory. If you read the previous books you will remember she is one of the most stable influences of the Lochguard dragons and her nephew is Finn, the leader of Lochguard. Ross Anderson, has been staying with her and her daughter, Faye, while he is recuperating from cancer, and has been slowly falling in love with Lorna. In this book he finally makes his move and Ms Donovan does a good job of portraying the uncertainty of an older couple as they journey through the experience of new love. The reactions of her children are highly amusing and realistic. Another great story from Ms Donovan!

It's Lorna MacKenzie and Ross Anderson's time to find love. Ross had been dealing with cancer but he just got the news he had beat it now he could live again and he wanted to have Lorna at his side. Lorna has spent a lifetime getting over the lost of her true mate and raising her kids but it just might be time for more now. Both want each other but now to make their moves? And will the grown kids and her clan let them? This was truly a romantic story and so much fun to read. The characters are amazing it was like cheaking in on old friends. If your a dragon fan this is a book you need to have in your library Jessie donovan's stories are all ways amazing! Book given for an honest review and I honestly loved it.

Nice to read a story about a couple over fifty and to believe in second chances at love. The dynamics of dating with adult children (all giving their opinions) is entertaining and makes for a light-hearted easy read.

This a great novella about the twins, from the first 2 books in the series, mother. The story is well written and great for look into the Lorna’s life. I know I was always interested in her past and what shaped her into the woman she was today. I always love when an author gives a little story and insight into the background characters. It helps bring the world the stories are written into greater perspective. I love this author and all her work. Thank you for another great read.

Jessie Donovan has the knack of creating characters, shifter or human, that are easy to love and impossible to forget. In Dragon's Heart, she has given an older couple, retirement age even, a chance at a new life and love. Both Ross and Lorna have lost their first love and mate/spouse, but now after Ross has a new life recovering from cancer he wants to live that life to the fullest. Lorna was his nurse, friend and now has captured his heart. The questions are can he get her to accept him,if so get her children let him live, and win her from any dragon men competition as a mere human.  They are so feisty and much more romantic than their kids are ready for. Seeing mum kiss a man is just not in their realm of experience. Are their feelings for real, forever? Will the clan accept them? There is a law prohibiting matings between human males and dragon females?  This one will touch your heart and your funny bone. For the younger reader, just remember they may be older, but they certainly aren't dead, as you will read. I heartily recommend this one. I was provided an ARC for and honest review.
