Scooby Doo for the 21st Century

I bought this book because the heroine has my maiden name, Cherry Canfield. The writer can spin a tale, but it is too short. The ending was a Scooby Doo type where when the bad guy is caught, he simply confesses all. Character development was pretty good. I could envision most of the people pretty well. I am curious how the author chose the name for the heroine. I've never heard of anyone else with it.

Why does it stop at page 48

Do not buy this book. It is not what it says it is. I would not have bought it if i knew it was only 48 pages and stopped just as it was getting interesting. What a waste.

This is really more of a novella than an full book. Yes, it's only 48 pages as indicated by everyone else but each page runs for two or more nook pages. So, the story is actually longer than it appears. Enjoyed the characters and the author's writing style really brings them to life. A little cozy mystery that you can read in one sitting. Told with a touch of humor. Well edited with only a couple of minor typos or spacing issues. The mystery for this tale concludes at the end of the novella but the characters and their stories continue in the second and third novellas. Would like to see more by this author.
