    Mindblowing!!!

Lansdale is one of those writers who is constantly at the top of his game. He also writes in a genre all of his own. His novels are a mix of sex, race, texas gothic, mystery, action, adventure, comedy, and everything else under the sun. The two complimentary Drive-In novels (that make up this book) are completely mind-blowing. What I especially liked was how different the two books are to one another. The first novel is a must for any horror fans. But it is in the second book that Lansdale's talent really shines. This set is a definite-must-read!

Mr. Lansdale sets the bait and then slowly but steadily reels you in. You don't even realize you've been hooked until you get to the last page and want more. A superb, evocative book that is an absolute page-turner (or page-clicker, in the case of electronic editions).

The literary equivalent of a Dario Argento film--crazed, blood-drenched, maniacal, surreal & oh, so brutally satisfying. Bring the popcorn & beer, you'll need it.
