    Great but disturbing

Well, this book is good but disturbing at many levels. It is very well written, in that unique way that this author has to show the humanity of even the most flawed characters. Having said that, I truly disliked some of the scenes in which the heroine was humiliated and abused by the suppossedly 'hero'. I just did not like the guy at all and found his sudden 'conversion' too unrealistic, unrelatable and faked. I was actually hoping for the heroine to have a happily everafter with one other character who showed to care for her far more than the hero. I also would have liked to see more resolution about the female character that shows up late in the book and know why the hero forgave her for everything she had done to him in the past. I liked him even less after welcoming her with open arms and without questions. What an a**! Because of this, I gave the book 3 stars.

I just loved this series. It grabbed my attention right from the start. Mr. Dumont kept my interest. He has a secret and Candy wasn't a coincidence. He wanted her, but why. This book keeps you guessing right up to the end. Will they get their HEA or will Candy just be crushed by her runaway emotions? Grab this you will not be disappointed!

    Really good

Hot and sexy and full of twists. If you remember your college days of reading the likes of Dickens with its mini-climaxes every few chapters because he published his books in sections in the newspaper and needed to keep the reader intrigued, so too is the style of this book. ABSOLUTELY NOT COMPARING THIS book to that caliber...obviously...but that sense of peaks and intrigue in the storyline is what I really enjoy about this author. Definitely read the consolidated text as opposed to ourchasing in the four installment option. Enjoy!!

Loved it. I always enjoy messed up craziness in the stories I read. I agree it would've been nice to have a few more pages clearing a few things up, but wasn't a big deal to me. I was completely engrossed in the story, read it in one sitting. Alot of hot, naughty sex throughout the whole story.

    Surprise Ending

Again, thanks to other reviewers I really enjoyed this book. The storyline was different from so many other steamy love books I read and I enjoyed where the characters came and went to in the book. The ending was a surprise and I appreciated the author throwing that wrench in things.

Lots of unanswered questions but still get HEA

I agree with the reviewer that commented that there were some unanswered or unrealistic plot lines -- Nathan's 180 degree turnaround, the unfinished story of Drew (I want to read his HEA!) & what will happen when Nathan finds out about Drew & yes what happened to Cecile & Nathan's millions? Also, if someone stole millions of dollars from you, wouldn't revenge be the most likely reason to search for them? It was a good HEA a la Pretty Woman, quick read. Just left more questions than answers. Reviewed by LovesToReadRose 03/02/14.

    Sexy story

I like this author. Her stories are not your typical love stories but filled with hot men, sex and intrigue. She pushes the limits of what is acceptable. Great read. Like that it's a full length novel.

Where do I start? This book will take you on a serious mind f**k

Where do I start? This book will take you on a serious mind f**k. I really don't know how else to say it. But, I love how Alessandra is always pushing my comfort levels. She delivers a gritty, mysterious, hot, and sexy novel with characters that get under your skin. This novel is not for the light hearted, it's a dark and heart breaking story that somehow left me feeling hopeful for this couple. Thinking back I am still not really sure how Alessandra Torre was able to pull it off but she did, and she did it well.

Candace finds herself in a situation that can only be made up in the movies and books, she thinks she has found her golden ticket out of the current life she has. A handsome, rich man is willing to take her in and give her a life style she has always dreamed of. But she soon realizes that everything around her in this perfect situation is all lies, yet parts of it feel so very real. Nothing is ever as it seems, and Nathan has a lot of secrets and a one track mind.

Candace finds herself in the ultimate game of playing pretend. She was brought into Nate's life with one purpose. One that he is very focused on achieving and one that leaves Candace on the receiving end of his unpleasant attitude. Candace goes through hell and back, she finds a strength she didn't know she had. She makes choices she never thought she would make and she end this whole point in her life in a place she never thought she would be.

It sounds like the plot to this story would be simple, or common, but I assure you that there is nothing simple or common about this book. I personally, despised Nate for what was happening. However, in the end I some how came to accept and cherish the relationship that forms between him and Candace. I was swooning over a man I once hated. There is  a full range on emotions that are felt while reading this book, and I loved every second of it.
