While most of THE DUST BOWL is broad reinterpretations of Griffith's classics, there are also three songs Griffith hasn't recorded before: Buddy Holly's "Tell Me How"; Frank Christian's swinging "Drops From the Faucet"; and new original, "1937 Pre War Kimball," a gently humorous tribute to her antique piano, featuring guests Glenn D. Hardin and Beth Nielsen Chapman. Nanci Griffith is an artist with a continuing zest for challenge, and on this symphonic adventure, she's still seeing her own creations in new ways.
