Greg Keyes ist Jahrgang 1963 und wurde in Meridian, Mississippi, USA geboren. Nach seiner Graduierung in Anthropologie widmete er sich ausschließlich der Schriftstellerei. Neben diversen Romanen für das Star Wars-Universum schrieb er auch für die erfolgreiche SF-TV-Serie Babylon 5. Für seinen Roman A Newton:s Cannon wurde er mit dem französischen Grand Prix de l'Imaginaire ausgezeichnet. Greg lebt derzeit in Savannah im US-Bundesstaat Georgia.
