Overview

When Norah wakes up one morning with an urge to go for a walk, she isn't interested in just any kind of walk. She wants to go on an Elephant Walk! Norah's parents have another idea all together. It's a perfect day for an elephant walk, but with so much to do and so little time, will Norah really get to see an elephant in her family's suburban neighborhood? Perhaps more than one. Author and illustrator Joe Spooner makes going on a neighborhood walk more fun, more colorful, and more elephantastic than it has ever been.

Meet the Author

Joe Spooner is a cartoonist, writer, illustrator, instructor... he also prepares dinner for his family several nights a week. For most of his family, that is. His daughter, Norah (see The Elephant Walk, published by Arnica in 2005 — a great children's book, you should buy it and read it), lives and works in the Washington, DC area, so she's not part of the dinner plans most of the time. Usually, Joe fixes dinner for his wife, Patti, and his son, John. N Is for Nostril is Spooner's second book — Patti is already bugging him to get that third one finished. Norah and her family stroll their suburban neighborhood looking for elephants! Not only does this book tell a good story, it allows you to search for hidden elephants on every page. Well done, Norah. Let's hope you find more to teach us.
