It contains Wilkin’s most famous Little Golden Books (such as Baby Dear), as well as lesser-known Little Golden Books, prayers, poems, Mother Goose rhymes, and an introduction written by Wilkin’s daughter.
There are various authors of the books contained in the treasury, including Jane Werner Watson, who edited and wrote hundreds of Golden Books. She called Eloise Wilkin "the soul of Little Golden Books."

A collection of stories originally published as Golden Books and illustrated by Eloise Wilkin, including "Baby, Dear," "At Sunset," and "Wonders of Nature." Includes a biographical sketch of Wilkin written by her daughter.

Meet the Author

Eloise Wilkin (1904–1987) illustrated dozens of classic Golden Books in her long career. Famous for her instantly recognizable style, she provided the art for such books as Baby Dear, We Help Mommy, and the original Little Golden Book versions of Prayers for Children and My Little Golden Book About God.

    Great Collections

    Another precious read from Eloise Wilkin. These stories take you back to a simpler time in America. A very nostalgic, sweet set of stories to share with your children as read-alouds. Although there is a girl on the cover, the stories inside are suitable for both boys and girls.

    Wonderful whimsical illustrations & child innocence

    This book is a treasure for anyone seeking stories which reflect childhood innocence and the world through a child's eyes. Eloise Wilkin was a gifted artist and this treasury is truly a TREASURE which will become an heirloom in families today!
