Overview

Prisons are sad places where hopes and dreams of a well-spent life either die or are put on hold for a very long time. Bayonne Prison, near the Southern Louisiana swamplands, was such a place - until about a year ago.

As murderous rioting broke out in every corner of the planet, fewer and fewer guards showed up for work, prefering to protect their familes and themselves rather than babysit convicted criminals. Locked up and left to die, the inmates seized control of Bayonne instead.

Eventually, nearly all of the former captives left in search of women, drugs, alcohol and other things rarely available in prison.

George stayed behind. This is his story.

This is an awesome zombie story! I like how realistic Mr. Bebb is, if you like Walking Dead then you will love this & his other books. I am not sure why there are 2 nook books offers 1 for 4.99 & the other for 8.99? I look forward to the next book coming out! I did wonder why some of the guards didn't think to move thier families to the prison? I would also like to see if the zombies would gang up & eat some of the alligators!

I read Valley of Death and All Hallows Eve and I loved them. I waited patiently for more books like this to be written by this author. When I saw this book and read about it I bought it. Then to my surprise it was the author I had been waiting for. I loved it as much as I did his others. His main character is both lovable and a bit repulsive. He’s human. Fast action, not a lot of filler. When I realized at the end of the book there was a lot of discussion by the author I rolled my eyes and sighed. I thought what a pain. But I soon realized I was enjoying it as much as the book. I agreed with almost all of his ideas. I can’t wait until his next book in this series (hint hint)
