Meet the Author

Jennie Yoon Buchanan M.D. emigrated to the U.S. from South Korea in 1981. She grew up in Kansas City, Missouri and received her B. A. degree at the University of Missouri. She earned her M.D. at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. Dr. Buchanan completed her radiology residency and fellowship training in breast imaging at the Washington University School of Medicine and Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology.
Dr. Buchanan is Medical Director of Women’s Imaging at Florida Hospital holding responsibilities for nearly a dozen of the hospital’s locations in The Greater Orlando Area. She is also a clinical professor of radiology at Florida State University College of Medicine.
Dr. Buchanan is also the founder of the Jennie Yoon Buchanan M.D. Breast Cancer Fund, a non-profit organization that provides free mammograms and related medical services for uninsured women
