I think this is truly an exceptional book. A combination of self-assessment combined with plenty of how-to guides and additional resources, this book is a must of those looking for their Encore Career or others who are re-careering. I have been waiting for this book to come out since I early ordered in November, and it has exceeded my expectations and is helping me on my journey towards personal enlightenment and satisfaction. Well done Marci!

Marci Alboher's "The Encore Career Handbook: How to Make a Living and a Difference in the Second Half of Life" undoubtedly provides useful information from many aspects to anyone seeking guidance as they journey into that challenging and sometimes treacherous phase of life our culture has perhaps foisted upon us by fixating on a particular age for which retirement is expected or even mandated. The book is filled with hepful "how to" information, providing guidance for those attempting to identify or bring about an encore career. For example, there are suggestions on how to bring one's already hewn skills to bear or how to augment them. However, most poignant in my case was the encouragement I garnered from the book, both by its affirmation of the effort to establish an encore career and, perhaps even more significantly, by its confirmation that the effort may take time and may not be straight forward. This is true particularly in a society where the latter part of life is just now being defined or redefined. I say "thank you" to Ms. Alboher for the renewed confidence. Margaret D. Tagliavia
