Son of Sam, Jack the Ripper, the Boston Strangler, Ted Bundy, and John Wayne Gacy are some of the famous figures profiled by Newton, a crime writer specializing in serial killers. Ranging from ancient Rome to the present, he discusses the realities versus popular film and television myths, key figures on both sides of the law, pivotal cases and events, and criminal activities that have shaped law enforcement responses. Loaded with errors, and inaccuracy.

I purchased this book with high hopes, only to have them dashed with several details that are blatantly wrong. Through all of my own research, there are several books that have better facts in them than this book. I would not recommend this book for anything other than something to use to level the couch.
