Overview

The Epistle of James has been one of the most misunderstood books in the New Testament. Many have been confused by thinking that it contradicts the doctrine of justification by faith alone. About the Author:

Zane Hodges has sought to live a life consistent with the marvelous and undeserved grace that his loving heavenly Father showed Zane, when He gave Zane the absolutely free gift of eternal life through faith alone in Jesus Christ. Currently, Zane is engaged in pastoral ministry at Victor Street Bible Chapel in Dallas, where he has ministered for over forty years. Zane received his BA degree from Wheaton College and his ThM degree from Dallas Theological Seminary. What People are Saying About This

Earl Radmacher
I own many commentaries on James, but none of them captures the meaning of James so clearly and simply as this one. I recommend it above all others. -- (Dr. Earl Radmacher, President Emeritus and Distinguished Professor of Systematic Theology Emeritus, Western Seminary, Portland, Oregon)
Art Farstad
Read this book only if you are prepared to be challenged by a clear and convincing presentation of such topics as the tongue, anger, affluence, and a lifestyle that will be rewarded. -- (Dr. Art Farstad, Executive Editor, New King James Version)
Ed Underwood
Finally a commentary of James which challenges Christians to put their faith to work rather than working to prove their faith. -- (Ed Underwood, Pastor, Church of the Open Door, Glendora, California)
