Meet the Author

Anne Brontë (1820-1849) was the youngest of three Brontë sisters. Born to a poor Irish clergyman in the Church of England, Anne Brontë attended a few years of boarding school and worked as a governess between 1839 and 1845. Brontë wrote two novels in the late 1840s, AGNES GREY and THE TENANT OF WILDFELL HALL; both were well-received. She died of tuberculosis at the age of 29.

    Beautiful stories, well written

    These stories would appeal to fans of the other Bronte sisters and jane Austen aficionados. Class differences, social mores and human character are highlighted. The themes are timeless.
