The Legal Center protects and promotes the rights of people with disabilities and older people in Colorado through direct legal representation, advocacy, education and legislative analysis.

The Legal Center operates Colorado’s “Protection and Advocacy System,” ensuring the safety, well-being, and dignity of people with disabilities in group homes, people with disabilities in jail or prison, people confined in mental health facilities, and elderly people in long-term care. In 2006 The Legal Center celebrated its 30th Anniversary. In 30 years The Legal Center has provided more than 17,500 people with direct legal representation.
