Britt Brandon is an ISSA-certified personal trainer, triathlete, and medal-winning competitive runner. She is a mainly raw-foods vegetarian who consumes green smoothies daily, and attests to the dramatic improvement they can have on pregnancy, post-natal health, and athletics. As part of her personal training practice, Britt develops green smoothies for weight-loss, cleanses, pregnancy, athletes, vegans, children, and even pets.

Lorena Novak Bull, RD is a graduate of the Nutrition and Dietetics program at Loma Linda University. She has spent the last fifteen years working as a registered dietitian in public health, and has more than twenty-five years of experience with vegetarian, vegan, and raw vegan lifestyles. She is a member of the American Dietetic Association.

Easy recipes and many of the items can be found at your local grocery store. With each chapter broken down, I was trying something different every day and finding items I had never even tried! With that, I found I was changing my normal eating habits to include more raw fruits and vegetables. Yes, you can prepare these a day in advance (I put mine in an airtight container) so I'm not rushing in the mornings before work. Find a couple recipes that call for the same type of fruit & vegetable (i.e. mangoes & watercress), and it will save you a bunch. But truly a great book if you are trying to start out with Green smoothies. Love love love!
