Editorial Reviews

From the Publisher
"In this beautiful and user-friendly cookbook, Aliya takes us on a culinary journey around the world and introduces us to exotic flavors and techniques that make cultural cooking so exciting. I love how she weaves in the stories behind the recipes, which are so important in understanding the origins of food, and similarities that exist between different cultures. She does a wonderful job making the unfamiliar feel familiar and gives home cooks easy-to-use recipes that will help expand palates. This is a cookbook that will be used often...bookmarks, stains, creases, and all!" —Aaron Sanchez, author of Simple Food, Big Flavor and judge on Food Network's Chopped

"In this delicious collection of recipes, we are reminded how travel and memories inspire new dishes that connect us to a faraway place. Aliya seeks out exciting flavors and fragrances from all over the world and re-imagines them into accessible, achievable meals to make at home." —Ana Sortun, chef and owner of Oleana and author of Spice

"Her background makes her interesting. But what she does in the kitchen makes her one from which to learn...the fun of cooking from Exotic Table is to jump in with both feet." —Providence Journal

"One volume your kitchen library isn't complete without." - Food Republic

This is a well thought-out, well written book that will appeal to all who wish to try their hand at multicultural food. Aliya Leekong has created a wonderful book that will enhance any kitchen library. Her photographs are exceptional and this book has a coffee table quality about it. I have thoroughly enjoyed it and have tried a couple of recipes with great success. Her formulations are exact and will let any cook, whatever their ability, recreate great dishes.
