Overview

My husband, Charles Jordan, is the author of this, his second book. His first book was entitled Gospel Poetry. Charles says the word “author” is short for “authority”, meaning that when you are the author, you have authority over the book you have written. He also mentioned that, many times, when an author writes a book or novel, they write about things that they have experienced in their lives, whether they be Christian experiences or otherwise. This is what makes the book real. It is a true story; the author must be truthful.
The fact of the matter is, when one writes a book, it can be fiction or non-fiction. Charles believes that when a book is fiction, like science fiction, it may not be fact-based. Charles explains that fiction books are sometimes based upon theory. In other words, one writes about something that might have happened or might not have happened. Charles also went on to say that when you write a book that is non-fiction, it is based on a true story and/or facts. You are telling or writing like it is. He said it is about the way it really happened. Charles Jordan attests that The Experiences of a Christian Life is non-fiction.
Charles and I, Olivia, believe that, as Christians, we need to pray for and minister to our church family, our children, and our other brothers and sisters in the community and try to not judge them. Charles and I attempt to minister and witness to people to the best of our abilities. We feel that, as Christians and as members of the church, we must use it as part of our duty to the church ministry, by being obedient to God and doing what He would have us do as Christians. We also feel that it’s not just the pastor’s, evangelists’, or other ministers’ job, but the responsibility of every Christian in the church’s congregation to help bring souls to Christ. This is one of the most important parts of church ministry.

Great Book!

He is a great teacher with deep insight of the word of God. I would recommend this book. While this is a fairly short book, it is one of the best books I've ever read about the character of God and it's import for our daily lives. In his opening sentence, one of the most (if not the most) provocative (but true) and penetrating statements about the importance of our thoughts about God....

Essential reading for every practicing Christian!

I can't add anything on top of the great things already said about this book. It is a priceless reminder of the majestic holiness of God, and helps a generation obsessed with the cutting edge to take our eyes off the vain things of the world and keep our vision fixed on our great Lord. It is a must read, and it will help you know what it means to approach God with reverence...

Meet the Author

I am Charles Alexander Jordan, Senior, known to many as Chuck Jordan. This book is a unique look into my personal life and thoughts about being a Christian and living a Christian life. Many times we go to the Bible to prove to someone that we are right. The truth of the matter is that living a true Christian life is more than reading the Bible. When we read the Word, are we studying and understanding what we have read? Are we handling the experiences of a Christian life the way we should? Finally, are we really living in accordance to God’s Word? You see, as Christians, we must live according to the Word of God and live like Jesus did. And we must allow the Holy Spirit to use us in every way.
