Ideal for a thorough guide to card manipulations. It will take alot of practice but believe me every move is possible to exucute without the sleightest regognition from others at the table. Also ideal for magic tricks. If you are going to buy one book this is it!!!

Among serious card workers, Erdnase is *the* book to study, bar none. It is easily argued that all modern card magic has its basis in this book, which the author admitted he wrote under a pen name 'as he needs the money.' 'Just who S. W. Erdnase actually was remains one of the great mysteries of magic.' Having said that, this is not a book for you to buy if you're just starting out. There are more modern and easier books from which you can learn sleight of hand choosing this as a first book to learn from can be extraordinarily frustrating. Erdnase may be the bible of card magic, but as Bible scholars will tell you, true study requires years of patience.
