Overview

Initially planned solely as a standard double-disc reissue in the wake of the blockbuster success of The Fame, Lady Gaga decided to release the new material as a separate EP called The Fame Monster in addition to the standard two-CD set, where it's tacked onto a now standardized version of her debut. It's a nice move for fans, plus it helps emphasize the new material, which does act as a bridge from the debut to a forthcoming full-length. Everything on The Fame Monster bears a galvanized Eurotrash finish, as evident on the heavy steel synths of "Bad Romance" and the updated ABBA revision "Alejandro" as it is on the rock & roll ballad "Speechless" -- its big guitars lifted from Noel Gallagher -- and the wonderful, perverse march "Teeth." Even the stuttering splices on "Telephone," a duet with Beyoncé, leans to the other side of the Atlantic, which just emphasizes the otherness that's become Gaga's calling card. And even as she's becoming omnipresent, with her songs mingling with those who co-opt her on the radio, she is still slightly skewed, willing to go so far over the top that she goes beyond camp, yet still channeling it through songs that are written, not just hooks. The Fame Monster builds upon those strengths exhibited on The Fame, offering a credible expansion of the debut and suggesting she's not just a fleeting pop phenomenon.

I'm a big fan of lady gagas music, when I heard the song bad romance on the radio, I just had to get this album, too bad theres only 8 songs on here, there should have been more songs, other than that all the songs on here are fun to listen and dance to. Lady gaga rocks!

I just bought the last box set from here and I have just received it as shipment to Singapore took about 3 weeks to arrive. Wow, it is a great collectors box with sleek cover and layout. I managed to purchase another 2 box sets from a local store here at only USD 90 each. Pretty good deal. Will probably clear the 2 mint wrapped sets to other lady gaga fans. Rejoice!!

I just got mine in the mail yesterday. It is absolutely amazing. When you get it, it is simply a black case. Sealed inside of the case (which the quality is amazing) is the giant book and the puzzle. The book is amazing. The cover and the back of it is simply a shiny silver that says "Lady GaGa" on the top of it. In the first page of it, you have to lock of wig hair that Lady GaGa wore. You also have the first CD of the 2 included with this. In the next page, you have your 3D glasses and the second CD. Throughout the book there is fanart, pictures of GaGa, and stories of things that happened within the past year about GaGa. The book is amazing. It is over 100 pages. You get 2 double sided pull out posters. One of them has the blonde cover of The Fame Monster on one side and the brunette one on the other side. The other poster has a picture from the David Lachapelle on one side and another from the photoshoot on the other side. You also get the packet for The Fame Monster but full size so it fits with the rest of the book. There is the booklet of The Fame that is slightly bigger than the one that you would get with the CD. Then sealed separately from the book is the puzzle. One side of the puzzle is a 3D picture of GaGa. The other side of the puzzle is a picture from the Markus Klinko & Indrani photoshoot. You also get the same picture from the Markus Klinko & Indrani photoshoot as a guide for the puzzle in case you get stuck. On the black slip case for the book, there is "Lady GaGa" in black on the front with slightly raised letters. At the bottom - front of the book, it says "The Fame Monster" in an old fashioned-esque font. On the back of the book there is a piece of paper telling you what is in the book and it has the barcode and other things on it. You can peel it off if you like. At the bottom - back of the book it shows you the number of your book/10,000 so you know which number you received. I was one of the lucky 10,000 to be able to get one of these. I believe they are about completely officially out of stock. You may be lucky to find one at a local B&N store or at a Best Buy. You could get one from eBay but they are very over priced there. The shipping was fairly quick. It shipped after a week of ordering it (the delay was because I ordered it on the day before Christmas Eve). Once it finally shipped out, I got what I paid for, UPS Second Day Air Mail. It came packed very tightly in a cardboard box inside a bigger cardboard box. It was stuffed with plastic filled with air so everything was safe. This is a must need for die hards Lady GaGa fans like me. I hope for anyone who reads this review they get one of these!

I got this CD because I enjoyed Lady Gaga's other CD, the Fame. While I like the first CD more than this one, it is definitely worth owning, as it definitely is a wonderful whole new CD full of songs with her unique style. My fave song is Bad Romance, and this is definitely the best song on the CD. I'm also fond of Teeth, which I think is a song about vampires, but I'm not sure. My one complaint about this CD? It feels too short.
