The Famous Rift Between Freud and Jung
The book is a fascinating exploration of the critical issues which precipitated and then led to the famous rift between Freud and Jung. Extensive commentary from the secondary literature was presented and analyzed with a view toward identifying those issues which apparently played the largest roles in leading to the rift, with an equally interesting exploration of the divisive perspectives and issues which were found in Freud and Jung's own comments in their letters, as well as their other primary source writings. Lastly, a comparison was made between the issues identified in the commentary from the secondary source literature and those issues identified in the comments made by Freud and Jung regarding their progressively differing theoretical positions and stated points of disagreement relating to their personal relationship.

Also provided in the book are supplemental charts matching critic with their critical theories regarding the rift, as well as comparing the theoretical positions of primary and secondary sources. In addition, a chronology of the significant events in the Freud-Jung relationship and an index to the causes of the rift are also provided to the reader to help clarify as much as possible the complex nature and history of the relationship between Freud and Jung.
