SUE TABASHNIK has been an active member of the Official Patrick Swayze International Fan Club since 2000 and has written numerous articles for the club magazine. She has been a master’s level social worker for over thirty-three years and as part of her work has conducted thousands of interviews. She has brought her passion and strong personal connection to Dirty Dancing with her social work background to write this unique book. From the athor: Why write another book on Dirty Dancing? With the amazing milestone of Dirty Dancing turning twenty-five years old in August 2012 and people not getting enough of the movie, it seemed like there was more to tell about Dirty Dancing. And I discovered that I was right.

While writing the book, I once again was struck by the depth of connection people have with Dirty Dancing and Patrick Swayze. Dirty Dancing will continue to touch people's hearts for all of time. Patrick Swayze will "live on" through his brilliant performance in this iconic film.

I give my gratitude to all of the people who made Dirty Dancing happen. I give my gratitude to Patrick Swayze for giving us such a wonderful legacy of work and his extraordinary spirit which continues to provide such inspiration.
