The Fat Fallacy: Applying the French Diet to the American Lifestyle

Overview

We know the French are thin. We know they eat exquisite foods and yet don't have our desperate troubles with weight and heart disease. The Fat Fallacy makes a very basic point: the same diet that keeps them thin can work for us just as well. At the heart of this delightful, entertaining narrative is a core observation - fat free diets have failed us. Americans have dutifully followed this dietary dogma, only to see the obesity epidemic explode before our eyes.

In The Fat Fallacy, Dr. Clower explains why we need not be locked into the failing strategies of the fat free dogma. He serves up a long overdue treat of common sense that reintroduces enjoyment and satisfaction as the very goal of eating. More importantly, he provides easy to follow, practical guidelines to apply the French diet in our hurried and harried American life. This refreshing book makes the French diet accessible to everyone -- no more counting calories, measuring portions, or popping magical diet pills. More to the heart of the matter, The Fat Fallacy diet is a joy to start and easy to maintain. The result is a healthier, thinner and more satisfying life for ourselves and our children. It is the last diet you'll ever need. Bon Appetit!

    Highly receommended!

I read this book in one quick sitting. Great information and a great, easy plan. After following many fad diets I now simply follow this plan. It's easier, mostly common sense. Not only am I much happier with what I am eating but also much smaller!
