    Problems Seem to be Fixed

I have just begun my 14 day free trial with the Nook's latest OS update. All the problems I've read about in the previous reviews seem to have been fixed. The pages and navigation panes are running smoothly and relatively quickly and no font/typography issues have arisen. Delivery has been early, (6:07 am this morning). All the great writing and reporting of FT is here and accessible. Great product and highly recommended.

    Financial Times a winner!

I am just starting to experiment with receiving newspapers on my Nook. Since I get the morning paper at home; the Washington Post in Washington, DC, I really miss having a paper when I am traveling on vacation. USA Today or other hotel-based news do not compare to a world-class newspaper. I have been looking at the Financial Times as today's premier financial newspaper, so I just subscribed to the Financial Times during my recent vacation. It was great to be able to receive the Financial Times on my Nook before breakfast every day. I was very interested to see its wonderful coverage of not only financial news, but also politics around the world, including the United States. After a week, I am starting to get some understanding of politics in both Europe and China. This is a wonderful new experience. Even with all the Wifi time on my Nook, it was still at a 39% charge after a little over a week.

Now that I am back home, I am starting to think about how I want to interact with my newspapers in electronic form. I still love getting the morning paper, though. The Nook is a fabulous form on which to receive a newspaper, however.

Also, I have now verified that I want to use the Financial Times as my heavy-duty financial newspaper, since I do not rely on a newspaper for stock quotes or financial graphs anymore anyway. It is their news and analysis that I am really looking for.

    So far so good

I've always enjoyed reading this newspaper for a more global perspective on current events, in comparison to the wall street journal. I like the fact that you can bookmark articles and highlight text within articles for reference purposes. A recommendation would be for BN to add a text to speech function for those who have visual impairments.

Mexico's oil sector vote brings pressure. . .

Raises many questions, most tellingly, how is a license not a concession? Still, a worthwhile piece with quotes from leading think tank actors

How the Rich are Making Sure They Stay onTop

The commentary is misleading and designed to reinforce the the victim mentality which is pervasive among us. The include the very poor with the stats. How about the income decline with those between the 1% and poor? I wonder how the poor are defined these days. So often, poverty is a state of mind. Depending on that state of mind. poverty may be a step to wealth or a way of life.

    Ok paper.

I tried this paper to see what was different compared to the Wall Street Journal and free online content. What I found was that most of this papers content was yesterday's free online content so I was quite disappointed. It's a bit expensive since most news was already published online. Some of the stories were interesting but biased. I was looking for "as close to unbiased reporting" as I could get. I don't think it's in this paper so I am still looking.
