    NO, JUST NO.

Oh where do I start? I really really really wanted to enjoy this book. I had heard nothing but good things! The plot sounded unique, A nice love interest. What could go wrong... answer is, ALOT. First off our leading lady was so childish and naive I ofter found myself pondering how imature she was rather then focusing on the words in front of me. Second, we had not one but TWO love interest and neither on of them got my juices pumping, if you know what I mean. They just were not believable as far as charcters go. And I LOVE A GOOD BOOK BOYFRIEND! Just not these two :/ I found myself caring about none of the charcters in the book, and how can you truly enjoy a book if you have no attachemetns to it? Also, time had no meaning in this book apparently. You would flip the page and the chapter would start off with "Six weeks later..." I HATE when books skip around like that for no reason, but maybe thats just me. I love reading all sorts of books, sadly this book just didnt cut it for me, but if you decide to purchase this book then I honestly hope you enjoy it more than I did. And if not, dont say I didnt warn you :]

One of the best books ever!

I loved it! The love triangle was wonderful and the characters didn't fall in love too quickly. The plot was beautiful with all the mythology about the gods and goddesses; it was just was perfect for this story! Believe me buy this book, you will not regret it!

Kailin Gow has accomplished the unaccomplishable, for the first

Kailin Gow has accomplished the unaccomplishable, for the first time that I can remember I cannot decide who I want the heroine to be with, I love them both and I find it extremely impossible to choose between the two, what Gow has given us is two extremely interesting, handsome and charismatic cousins Chance and Varun.
Mac has just moved to Aeros Island with her mother, on her first day of school she is introduced to cousins Chance and Varun, Chance seems very familiar and she realises that he is the masked boy that she danced with the night before but his demeanor towards her is anything but friendly and so she starts out dating Varun but although there is mutual attraction between the two she is inextricably drawn to Chance who is aloof whenever they are together.
But what Mac discovers is that the island is filled with people who are embodiments of gods and goddesses, and that she may be a the embodiment of a goddess that is the cause of the friction between Chance and Varun, with Chance being the Fire King and Varun the Water King and she has to make the choice of who to be with, but will history repeat itself and have Mac and up with the one that she will end up leaving for the other?
I'm so loving this series, and can't wait to see where this series will go.
    I give this 4/5.

    I Also Recommend:

Kailin Gow introduces a world of Greek mythology unlike any othe

Kailin Gow introduces a world of Greek mythology unlike any other world before. The complex mysteries of the gods and demigods will draw readers in from the very beginning along with The Fire Wars' imaginative dystopian structure.

Mackenzy Evers is new to Aeros island and as soon as she begins her senior year at Aeros Academy she is presented with unfathomable legends turned into reality. Her undeniably fiery attraction to Chance versus the calming effect of one touch from cool as a cucumber Varun will become the least of her worries. Learning that her destiny could entail saving the world from further erosion, or destroying it, puts Mac in a precarious situation.

There doesn't seem like enough time to get to know the Mac outside of her possible destiny before she is whisked away by the two intense cousins, Chance and Varun Cutter. The sweet whirlwind romances are to be expected, though, as they are popular trademark of Kailin's novels, but Mac still remains a big mystery. Despite the tantalizing mystery surrounding Mac's fate, the world building and underlying real-world environmental themes stand out in The Fire Wars, setting the award-winning novel apart from other young adult greek mythologies and dystopians.

Thankfully The Fire Wars is only the first in a series written to dazzle readers and pepper them with a taste of Kailin's brilliance when it comes to mixing genres and keeping readers guessing when it comes to matters of the heart! With an ending as catching as The Fire Wars', it's safe to assume that book two, Fire Stones, is going to be a sure-fire read!
