Good book. But for the love of God, do NOT buy it at Barnes and Noble online. I bought this book for my husband for Christmas - it arrived after Christmas despite paying extra for 2-day delivery with a guarantee that it would arrive on time. Didn't matter that it arrived late, because they sent it to the wrong address anyway. I understand once the product is in the shippers hands, the book store is no longer in control but this isn’t the reason I won’t do business with them again, it’s just the icing on the cake…

When my husband realized he received a duplicate copy as a gift from someone else, we tried to return the book to a Barnes and Noble store by our home. Despite bringing all of the shipping materials, receipt, printed order information from email, and being within their 14 day return limit, we were told that we could not be issued a refund for the book - that we would HAVE to take store credit. This is because I paid for the book using Paypal. Apparently, they have no way to credit your Paypal account back if you try to return an item you bought online to the store. Why would you offer this form of payment if you are unable to refund it? At least make consumers aware that they can’t get a refund for a purchase if they pay this way. I made many Paypal purchases online and I’ve never had a problem return the items to the store: TJ Maxx for example, can refund an online paypal purchase in a store by giving you cash back.

So, after inquiring as to how I get my refund having purchased this book via Paypal, I was told I could only receive a refund if I shipped the book back to them. Are you kidding me? The book was only $10 to begin with, and I paid another $7 to have it express shipped (which as mentioned before, didn't even arrive when or where it was supposed to). You really think I'm going to pay at least another $5 to send it back? This book was available, in stock, at the Barnes and Noble store we tried to do the return at - I do NOT understand why they wouldn't take this book back and give me my money back. Its sitting right there on the shelf, it’s not as though it was a product that they didn’t carry in their stores.

Save yourself the time, just buy it somewhere else. And for goodness sakes, don’t pay with Paypal.

I am still reading the book, but I find it fascinating so far. The subject isn't easy, but the author writes clearly, and you can understand him without first getting an A in calculus. I am amazed at how much we can deduce from the mere fact that nearly a century ago, we discovered that other galaxies are moving away from us at startling speeds.
