Cocteau Twins fans rejoice! some favorite essays in the book were by Matthew Kelly (the Autumns), Ian Masters (Pale Saints) and Anka Wolbert (Xymox). So terrific to see so many great musicians talking about the Cocteaus!
As one of the world's most rabid Cocteau Twins fans, I was really surprised when I heard this volume of essays was going to be released as an e-book, and then I got even more surprised when I downloaded my copy and saw the people who were involved in the book and those who had written essays about the Twins. Reading these essays made me want to listen to all the Twins albums again from beginning to end, over and over again, so that's just what I did as I was devouring the essays in here. It's about time someone put together a book such as this one--the Cocteau Twins are a band that still need to get all the proper acknowledgments they deserve, as they made such a lasting influence on so many artists making music today. Now if only the Twins would see the enthusiasm in the essays in this book and decide to get back together for another album!
