Barnes & Noble - Ron Hart
Scarface's long-awaited debut for Def Jam South marks the rap veteran's strongest and most enjoyable material since his salad says in the Geto Boys. An invitingly radio-friendly disc, The Fix finds 'Face collaborating with such superstars as Jay-Z and Beanie Sigel, Nas, Kelly Price, and Faith Evans. But it's not the big names that make Scarface's seventh solo joint so intoxicating -- it's the funk-steeped production. In the spirit of the new Southern funk movement initiated by Goodie Mob and OutKast, the rapper energizes his gangsta fairytales with the rogue spirit of '70s blaxploitation and injects it with some old-school soul and lyrical urgency via samples of Gladys Knight and Roberta Flack on "In Cold Blood" and "On My Block," respectively. The Neptunes turn out one of their best slow jam grooves to date on the Faith Evans-assisted ballad "Someday," while the album's heavy-hitting title track sounds like it could have been cribbed from the Superfly soundtrack. After spending almost an entire decade lost in a purple haze of generic thuggery, this O.G. offers up a Fix that will hook listeners on his dope beats and rhymes.
Vibe - Noah Callahan-Bever
With The Fix, Scarface makes a compelling argument that gangstas can, in fact, mature. More importantly, they can use that hard-won wisdom and experience to create some of the best music of their lives.

    ScarFace Hit it up

Scarface has his own way of writing songs and I believe that this cd shows that he is still doing his thang. I am loving all the tracks, all of the tracks. No one could do what he can do and he is on the way to being the best he can be in the rap industry.

If you don't got it...go get it!

I must say, his newest album "The Fix," Scarface once again perfectly mixes dope soundz and lyrics that go straight to the heart, and make you think. Usually you get one or the other, but here, there's both. Scarface has an ability to spread knowledge without sounding like a preacher. It's a combination of his deep, soulful voice and his catchy and uplifting beats that provide a perfect cd to listen to while taking a road trip or just have on as background music. There are a wide variety of styles and tracks that feature many great artists like Faith Evans, Kelly Price, Nas, and Jay Z! The cd is one of the best of year and is definetly a must have!

Scarface is back with "The Fix"!

This is a remarkable album and it shows why Scarface has been a fixture in southern hip-hop for so many years. The album features good production and Face drops knowledge with his lyrics. I would definitely suggest that everybody who loves real hip-hop check "The Fix" out.

Scarface Comes With Another Chart Topping CD

I really wasn't a big fan of the rapper Scarface, but now since I've heard his new album, "The Fix" I'm surely a big fan of him now! The CD has a great mix of Hip-Hop with a few R&B tracks on the CD with the help of R&B artist, Faith Evans. This CD I think is one of the best Scarface has came out with, and enjoyed every bit of the CD.

    soulfully dope

This gets down to the nitty-grid and hits you right in your soul. The beats turn your body inside out as you groove to the realist melody, but it's toned down from his previous songs; revealing more of his humanistic qualities causing you to feel the lyrics. His words are dope leaving you wanting more after it's over. It is one fly track, keepin' it real.

    Uncle Face remains "Untouchable!"

The name of the album says it all! If you are not fixed on Face yet, you will soon be. "The Fix" is truly a masterpiece of his own mind. This album is a product of life lessons learned hard that has enabled him to an maturity level rarely reached by those of his caliber. Altough, Last of a Dying Breed is my personal favorite, The Fix is more user friendly to those who are intimidated by street speaking soldiers or have not experienced the trials and tribulations Face has. The Fix is packed with his unique ability to combine uplifting spiritual lines to ease the soul, truth hurts flows, and straight heat from the street tracks in which he is known for. The album remains the same as the rest of Face's work, straight from the heart, no sugar coating, tantalizing flows and mind piercing thoughts that after listening all the way through it will leave you with the urge to play it again and again and again.
