The Flight of the Ravens
In the last days of the 19th century, Elizabeth must solve a mystery centuries old. A dark force has risen in the city of Amsterdam. She saw her best friend consumed by it when she was still a child. She vows she will be ready to destroy it when the darkness returns.

Her mentor is a man with secrets. Can Elizabeth trust him any more than the evil she prepares to face? And how can she defeat it when doing so threatens to unleash an even greater power, which could see all Amsterdam devoured in flames.

"Elizabeth ... is an admirable creation, somebody who has been touched by the supernatural and grown thanks to the experience, a fully rounded woman of her time, making her own way in the world... This is a strong story ... a gripping account of personal tragedy and the greater good" - Black Static magazine

"Butler's novella captures the spirit of Amsterdam impeccably ... if you're a fan of Lovecraft or just good old mystical fantasy, it's worth seeking out." - The British Fantasy Society
