This was a great book. The writer has a good approach for telling the main characters story. The author has a good way of keeping you guessing whats going to happen next in the book. I enjoyed that at the beginning of each chapter he gives a description of a birds actions in nature which is a prelude to the upcoming chapter.

This book has it all. Bevill has the talent to bring to life the characters and events going on. You can easily imagine this all occurring right in front of your eyes. Excellent read.

Called it quits at pg. 700 something. A bit shallow and did not get into or even begin to like the characters. Was not compelled enough by this story or those involved to find it worth the time to complete.

Loved the lead character. All of them actually. Her best so far. The authors inclination to review the pertinent facts a little to much for my liking, did NOT deter me from reading it from cover to cover as quick as I could. Hated to put it down!

This book had everything: suspense, action and a little romance. I will definitely check out more books from C.L. Bevil!

This was easily one of the most enjoyable stories I have ever read.  The story hits the ground running and never really lets up. Suspense, plot twists, humour, romance, action, this story has it all!

This was an amazing read! Fast paced, mystery! I coldn't put it down. The excerpts from differant books on birds are a bit pointless in my opinion, but the suspence of the novel makes these parts fly by. Before you realize what's going on, you've learned somruseless trivia about birds.

This was a very good read. It had a lot of action, a lot of pages, and was very enjoyable. I did like veiled eyes better though.

When I consider some of the 'hot' suspense novels that are on the best sellers' lists, I think Scarlet Tanager is a fair competitor. Hope to see more from this author.

Shorter paragraphs would have been nice, even, so it was a great story. A lot of pages but a fast easy read. Enjoy!

I have read several books by this author and find them all to be different. One never know as you being the story how or whree it is going to end. I shelve this under family stories on my Nook....and I continue to read more and more of this author's work.

Great read, didn't want to put it down. It starts a little slow, but it sure picks up speed.
