Overview

A murdered politician. An unsolved art heist. An international conspiracy.

A cryptic online message leads nonverbal communications expert Doctor Genevieve Lenard to the body of a brutally murdered politician. Despite being ordered not to investigate, Genevieve and her team look into this vicious crime. More online messages follow, leading them down a path lined with corruption, a sadistic assassin, an oil scandal and one of the biggest heists in history—the still unsolved 1990 Boston museum art theft worth $500m.

The deeper they delve, the more evidence they unearth of a conspiracy implicating someone close to them, someone they hold in high regard. With a deadline looming, Genevieve has to cope with past and present dangers, an attack on one of her team members and her own limitations if she is to expose the real threat and protect those in her inner circle.

Books keep getting better and better! Love all the elements and characters. Love the interaction between the characters as they develop. I can disappear into this series and almost have a sense of being alone as I turn the last page. Can't wait for more!!!

I continue to enjoy this series. Genevieve is still evolving in her emotional communication abilities. The mysteries with which she and her team get involved continue to be complex and satisfying.

You fall in love with ALL the charaters. I have learned so much more about Autism, Art, and genuine love and trust. All the Conection books are hard to put down. Born Again

This is the 3rd in the series, and the best yet. The characters are interesting, especially the lead, Dr Genevieve Lenard. I recommend starting with the first book, as the progression in relationships is fun. Some of the secondary characters are a bit shallow in charcterization, but the overall effect is meaty and satisfying as a savory stew. The mysteries are great, complex enough to keep you reading to the end. I can't wait to read the next!

This is an entertaning book, and an even better series. They take a bit of patience to deal with...but its much like a large family with many small(ish) children at the dinner table...all fighting for attention. The main player is dealing with a mild case of autism. The deep emotions she fights with, and deals with are beautifly written....anyone with an autistic child should read this. All the artists which are written about happily educates me...and..i admit..sends me to my reader looking up more info on these works of art. Thank you so much for writing and putting so much thought in to thier personalities.

Interesting characters, but Ms. Ryan needs a better editor.  When Dr. Lenard corrects another speaker with "whom, not who," it implies that correct grammar is important to her. Yet she uses "him" when she should say "he" (as in "I am better at this than him") and makes other minor yet annoying slips. And after a while, actions and thoughts become repetitive; one grows tired of reading about a specific group of muscles tightening around the eyes, or about the continual bickering between pairs of characters. Good ideas, some interesting quirks in the plot, but more variety and change would be welcome as the series continues.
