Overview

Lauren Royal's Flower Trilogy—three complete novels in one specially priced set!

The Ashcroft motto is "Question Convention," and the family is eccentric indeed. An avid gardener, the Earl of Trentingham named his daughters after his favorite flowers, and his son Rowan's name comes from a tree. Though their mother is a successful amateur matchmaker, the last thing Violet, Rose, and Lily want is Mum plotting their marriages. Is it any wonder the Ashcroft sisters are destined to find love in unconventional ways?

(Please visit the individual book pages to see more detailed descriptions.)

VIOLET - England, 1673 - Violet Ashcroft isn't planning to marry—she'd rather spend her time improving her mind than risking her heart. That is, until a handsome viscount named Ford Chase moves into the neighborhood…

LILY - England, 1677 - Lily Ashcroft fell for dashing Oxford professor Lord Randal Nesbitt at sixteen. Four years later, her older sister Rose wants him…and what can Lily do but help her sister land the man of her dreams?

ROSE - England, 1677 - Determined to land a wealthy, titled husband, Rose Ashcroft heads off to Charles II's court to find love. And runs smack dab into Christopher "Kit" Martyn, the one man who could ruin all her plans.

Meet the Author

I decided to become a writer in the third grade (or, as my Canadian friends call it, grade three), after winning a "Why My Mother is the Greatest" essay contest and having my entry published in a major newspaper. Seeing my words in print was a thrill! But everyone told me it's too hard for novelists to get published, so after college I spent fourteen years as the CEO of my own jewelry store chain before writing my first book. A mistake? Maybe...but my first heroine, Amethyst, was a jeweler, so at least I took advantage of that wise old saying, "Write what you know." And I learned a good lesson: Don't let other people tell you what you can or can't do!

I write humorous historical romance mostly set in England and Scotland in the 17th and 19th centuries (Restoration and Regency periods). I've been oh-so-lucky to see my books hit bestseller lists all over the world and win awards including the Golden Quill and Booklist's Top 10 Romance of the Year, making this second career a real dream come true. I live in Southern California with my husband, our three young adult children, and one constantly shedding cat, and I still think my mother is the greatest!

    Love!

I loved everything about this trilogy... I was so engrossed in these books -- that's the best feeling, when you fall in love with the characters and you loose track of time because you want to know more!

    charming, deeply flawed

though somewhat entertaining, the continuity in the book was three sisters, who were smart, unconventional and had large inheritances. In each of these books, each of the sisters gave up their large inheritances (and therefore their independence and long held dreams) to support/show love for/aid the men that they loved. Though excusable the first time (though she seemed the least likely to behave in such an absurd manner) by the time this occurred in the third book, I was livid, at the women for the sacrifices, at the author for constantly stating such sacrifice of independence were required to earn/show/deserve love, and myself for hoping that the author would do something even a little bit different for the third book. Too bad, the characters and their relationships were charming, but ruined but the authors and sisters determined and unnecessary sacrifices.
