By marsha canham standards this book was definately not her best. All of her other stories had a lot of depth and character developement and this one just didn't. It's ok , but if this is your first time buying m.c. you should definately try any of her other books.

The third book in the Pirate Wolf series, THE FOLLOWING SEA follows right where IRON ROSE left off, with Simon and Isabeau's second child, Gabriel Dante, licking his wounds after having lost his beloved ship. While guiding the Spanish ship won in the skirmish back home, he happens upon the Eliza Jane, an English vessel where all the crew have perished. Well, all except Evangeline Chandler, a young woman Gabriel's crew sees first as a curse. As usual, Canham weaves her spell, spinning the reader into the fabric of the story. These two pigheaded people -- Gabriel and Eva -- from totally different backgrounds are forced by their circumstances into shucking the shrouds of who they had believed they were and... Well, they discover a lot. Canham certainly knows her way around a ship and the sea. She writes edge-of-your-seat conflict with a deft touch. Tom Clancy's HUNT FOR THE RED OCTOBER has nothing on Canham's nail-biting sea-going adventures. A wonderful romp for these hot summer days!
