Editorial Reviews

Book Review
"Also exceptional is The Fragrance of You, an immersive story, much like in Jonathan Carroll's Land of Laughs, an author's literary landscape literally comes to life"
Anonymous Reviewer
"If there are secrets, as in the Grimm's fairy tale nightmare of "The Fragrance of You," there may well be good reasons that such things are hidden. In some cases, the wistful protagonist learns, you need to just take such gifts on faith; it isn't necessary to understand everything around us. Some things we can just be grateful for, and enjoy as long as they last."
Paul Di Fillipo
"Savile offers us mainly tales of personal redemption, whose wounded protagonists must deal with supernatural eruptions commensurate with their griefs. My favourite here was "The Fragrance of You" in which an artist connects with the daughter of a children's book author at the authors funeral only to learn that the fables he once illustrated hold more than he imagined."
