Overview

The shut-down of Omaha, Nebraska's Franklin Community Federal Credit Union, raided by federal agencies in November 1988, sent shock waves all the way to Washington, D.C. $40 million was missing. The credit union's manager: Republican Party activist Lawrence E. "Larry" King, Jr., behind whose rise to fame and riches stood powerful figures in Nebraska politics and business, and in the nation's capital.

In the face of opposition from local and state law enforcement, from the FBI, and from the powerful Omaha World-Herald newspaper, a special Franklin committee of the Nebraska Legislature launched its own probe. What looked like a financial swindle, soon exploded into a hideous tale of drugs, Iran-Contra money-laundering, a nationwide child abuse ring, and ritual murder.

Nineteen months later, the legislative committee's chief investigator died - suddenly, and violently, like more than a dozen other people linked to the Franklin case.

Author John DeCamp knows the Franklin scandal from the inside. In 1990, his "DeCamp memo" first publicly named the alleged high-ranking abusers. Today, he is attorney for two of the abuse victims.

Using documentation never before made public, DeCamp lays bare not only the crimes, but the cover-up - a textbook case of how dangerous the corruption of institutions of government, and the press, can be. In its sweep and in what it portends for the nation, the Franklin cover-up followed the ugly precedent of the Warren Commission.

John DeCamp is amazingly courageous in the telling of this story. It is a story that will chill you and make you deeply sad as so many young boys lives were destroyed by the collusion of government officials and others in power who used them and abused them for their sexual proclivities. CHILLING.

This is a shocking book detailing the Franklin Coverup. It tells the account of a child pedophelia ring, satanism, murder, and far-reaching corruption at all levels. This book kept me up at night and gave me nightmares from the horrific things that the victims experienced and witnessed. After reading the book, it will leave you shocked that this case just went away as easily as it did. The name-dropping will shock you as well. John Decamp is very courageous and brave for risking his life to bring this to the surface. The accounts are highly corroborated and the corruption surrounding this was rampant at every single level you could imagine. You will never be the same after reading this book.

This book was very informative on what has happened in the very state that I live. I have read it over and over, and realize that there is something new/different each time I've read it!! I have yet to put it down for more than a week, as I am engrossed in its content. Anyone that has children, NEEDS to read this book! Anyone that lives in Nebraska NEEDS to read this book. I know the book is real-life! The author has literally made me feel the anger he felt, the sadness his heart cried out, the happiness/joy he felt, as he ripped the scandals in the book, wide open!! I felt like I was standing right there with him, a part of his life, a part of his helping the individuals named in the book. I NOW wish I had the background to help out as this author has and will keep doing!! The author seems to be a fabulous and honest person...who knows what scandal can and will do to real people..and what it takes for the scandal to STOP! ---A MUST READ FOR ALL!!---

There are NUMEROUS type-o's in this Nook Book. The story was very good, but it was VERY hard to keep-up due to a LOT of typing errors. Honestly I feel like asking for a REFUND as I really can't follow what's going on.

John DeCamp's book 'The Franklin Cover-Up' is a spine chilling, flabbergasting, hair raising expose about perversion, corruption , sadism, and power mongering of the ruling elites. It is extremely credible and well-documented. The Franklin Cover-Up is an indictment of our perverted justice, corrupt elites, depraved and inept corporate media that will empower and collude with the clique of corruption by black outs. 'The Franklin Cover-Up' is a must read for every child advocate!!! Former Senator John DeCamp is a brave man who continues his fight for the abused children against the powerful and mighty Ogres of our society. His book is shocking and enlightening...
