I have been baking for years and most recently started getting into breads. This book provides valuable information, great recipes and makes it easy and simple to read without all the "jargon". Very insightful and before you know it you will be making your own bread!

This is a great little guide to getting started baking bread WITHOUT using a bread machine.
There are dozen or so recipes. I like that the author sticks to using common ingredients I already had around the house rather than harder to find items, and that he helpfully walks you through the process of making a loaf bread step-by-step. My first loaf came out great!
On the downside, this book isn't as comprehensive as the big baking books you'll find in a bookstore. But, then again, it isn't as expensive either!
Overview
The Fresh Loaf Pocket Book of Bread Baking is a concise introduction to the art and science of bread baking. The emphasis in this e-book is not on teaching you how to bake specific recipes, though the ten recipes contained within span a broad range, from basic French bread to whole wheat sandwich bread to chocolate-filled brioche. Rather the thrust of this e-book is to empower you to understand why particular recipes produce specific results so you can develop recipes and formulas on your own. More than anything, this e-book is about learning a fun new hobby which will have you creating delicious and surprising new treats for your friends and loved ones in no time.
