Editorial Reviews

From Barnes & Noble
So many wedding books and magazines seem to take for granted a budget that would satisfy Cecil B. DeMille. This guide takes for granted that thousands of dollars can be shaved off everything from the flowers to the music without sacrificing the beautiful touches that make a wedding magical.
From the Publisher
"Who doesn't like to save money—particularly when planning a wedding? An essential resource for cutting costs without compromising the style of the wedding, this book has hundreds of great ideas and proves frugal doesn't have to mean cheap."
—Carley Roney, editor in chief, www.theknot.com

"Cynthia Muchnick helps keep both your wallet and emotions in check without compromising elegance and style. Before you say 'I do' to the florist or photographer, you should first read The Frugal Bride cover to cover."
—Elizabeth Arrighi Borsting, travel writer and author, Celebrity Weddings and Honeymoon Getaways

" Once again, Cindy focuses on providing her readers with helpful information. Now, more than ever, it makes sense to be penny-wise, and Cindy outlines smart, stylish choices."
—Maria McBride-Mellinger, author, The Perfect Wedding Reception and The Perfect Wedding

"Who wants to start a marriage in debt? Cynthia shows us that frugal can be fun! Using these ideas you can still have the wedding of your dreams—and no one will know you saved money, too!"
—Michelle Merker, television producer/host, Southland Today for KDOC-TV

Meet the Author

Cynthia Clumeck Muchnick was born and raised in Marin County, California. She pursued her undergraduate degree in Art History and Political Science at Stanford University where she met her husband, Adam Muchnick. After completing college, Cindy moved to Chicago where she began her career in college admissions at the University of Chicago. One spring break, Cindy and Adam were on vacation in Paris when Adam popped the fateful question that sparked Cindy's interest in proposals and weddings. Cindy and her husband relocated to Florida where she earned her masters degree in Liberal Studies and taught tenth grade history.
Dubbed an Engagement Expert and Coach, she has appeared on dozens of talk shows and news stations including Leeza, Sally Jesse Raphael, Donny & Marie, Fox News, Good Day LA, Good Day New York and many others. Cindy also worked as a columnist and spokesperson for Honeymoon magazine as well as a freelance writer for Coast magazine. The Ultimate Wedding Idea Book is Cindy's third wedding book. She is also the author of Prima Publishing's upcoming wedding book, The Frugal Bride, scheduled to release early 2002.
Still incurable romantics, Cindy and her husband Adam are living happily ever after with their two sons in Southern California.
