    Excellent!!!

I could not put this book down. It is an excellent guide to the spiritual journey. He uses writings of some of the greatest saints of the church to show us the way. A very engaging read. This is a book that I will be read over and again... much like True Devotion.

Ralph Martin's "spiritual guidebook" is written in clear language that doesn't require rereading to understand. This book can open the reader to God's grace and deepen one's relationship with Him. I especially liked the excerpts from the spiritual writings of the Doctors of the Church who focus on one's prayer life and moving nearer to God. Clearly organized, the lengthy work can lead the reader to insight and wisdom. It is fine reading, and I recommend it highly to anyone seeking direction in this journey from life to eternity.

Highly recommended for those who desire to get closer to God

The Fulfillment of All Desire has reintroduced the beauty found in catholic spiritual growth as taught by seven doctors of the Church. In examining the writings of these seven spiritual heavyweights Ralph Martin has created a step by step process designed to help detach oneself from earthly desires and refocus our desires toward God. Knowlegde of self and knowledge of God are pivital in this journey. God will grant you this knowledge through the Holy Spirit if you will allow Him. God is waiting for you. The Fulfillment of All Desire will help you find Him.

    Excellent distillation

Spiritual masters such as St. John of the Cross and Theresa of Avila can be difficult to follow in their original works. Martin has studied all these saints and distills the salient points from their works to guide the reader along the trails they blazed. He's able to draw from all of them and cull pertinent quotes to illustrate the various pitfalls and landmarks along the way to spiritual maturity. An additional blessing is Martin's broad exposure to and keen comprehension of the state of the modern Church. This enables him to point out just what the modern reader could most likely use from these spiritual giants.
