If your a little bit on the 'creative' gory liking side, this is a must read. My favorite Dean Koontz book. The first one by him I read and its still my favorite. Like monster, gouls and devil babies? read this one. you wont be disapointed. Gory and graphic

This was my first book by the author but hasn't been my last! I thought this book to be very interesting. It was very easy to follow yet it kept me interested enough to finish it in 3 days. All of the characters were very strange. Ofcourse you are dealing with carnival people. I highly recommend this book and I am now reading my third book by him. He is a very clever author. A good book for readers of all ages.

I was deeply disappointed at the development of the story and the end. The characters were not well developed nor were the conclusion worth reading all night. It could have waited until a day where one is bored and needed to do something.

This is a good Dean Koontz book that could be enjoyed by good readers but yet is easy to follow for the slower readers. It attracted me to it right away.

I thought this book to be one of the best book's I have read. The characters were well developed and the plot gave a neverending spine-chilling scare to me after each page I read. This was one of my first Dean Koontz book's and I will be reading many more.

All I had to do was read the summary on the first page and I was hooked in. A truly exceptional novel and horror story. I couldn't put it down once I started. I recommend this book to anyone who loves when something happens but he only tells part of it, leaving you to have to make connections and guess what really happened. A must read book. This was my first Dean Koontz book that I read, but I had read a  few Stephen King books before this... both authors have a very similar style of writing! It takes a lot of talent to be able to switch between  the characters and to have the parts connect together later, leaving you in awe. So many things could be said about this gruesome piece, but I had to shorten it down to a few things.

This would be a great book for a weekend pleasure read. Scary, but not too graphic in description.
