    An Important Cultural Find!

What a wonderful recording of ancient French creole music but with a modern approach. The great performances and French singing by fiddler Dennis Stroughmatt really do prove that creole culture is alive and well in upper Louisiana with this young group. A must for any listener interested in Cajun, Creole, Canadian, and even oldtime music!

    Rich and Soulful

Watch for this group and find them live if you can, these are young creole and old-time folk players of a rare breed in the music industry today. One quickly understands that to the very core of their being, Dennis Stroughmatt and Jon Watson are sincere and passionate about the music, and well rooted in the traditions but with a youthful energy. The music on this and earlier albums of the group have a peculiar way with their complexity and moods to reach deep into your soul and enrich your own experience with them in ways some may not expect.
