OPENING MOVE.

After executing a hit on a fellow assassin in Algiers, Victor—the world's deadliest hit man—is contracted by the CIA for an assignment that will take him across Europe to the blood-stained streets of Rome...and straight into hell.

COUNTER MOVE.

Victor must pose as his previous—and very much dead—target to figure out who the killer’s next victim was going to be. But what was supposed to be a quick operation soon becomes much more complicated and treacherous.

FINAL MOVE.

Forced to work with a group of ruthless mercenaries, Victor will face a choice he would rather not make: do the right thing, or sacrifice the only thing in the world he truly cares about—his own life.

I wont get into the story line here, but Woods Victor novels just keep getting better, and better. Victor isn't your typical ex navy seal, Army Ranger, and super soldier superhero of most other novels of this kind. Hes a tough, resilient and extremely intelligent and calculating assassin who gets caught up in sophisticated and intricate plans of agencies, spies, other assassins and corrupt officials in high offices. The story is smart, without using over the top methods other writers use these days. There is no sharp shooting, never missing a shot, while falling out a 4 story building and somehow getting up, with barely a limp, still not missing a shot while living to tell the tale. Nope, not here. This isn't a comic book but a exciting novel with a believable protagonist whom could take out these "super soldiers" from these other books with ease. Give Wood and Victor a shot.
