I fell in love with the succulent plants about 9 years ago, and have been increasing my library and plant collection ever since. This is one of the best books I have come across. Very detailed and comprehensive with lots of great photographs, as well as an excellent bibliography and index.

I have always HATED those "rock gardens" with the sparsely planted succulents and cactus. You know, the kind of front yards you see in trailor parks and older "senior living" developments. UGLY! This book shows us just how fabulous and EASY succulents really are. Versatile and mostly drought tolerant- a MAJOR MUST HAVE in today's conservation minded world. This book should be in most Southwestern Gardeners' libraries as well as parts of the South. Others can only dream or keep them as greenhouse or house plants. Easy to read and great tips on propagation so you can make plenty of "pass along plants" for your friends...
