Coming to terms with money and finance has become one of the great transformational challenges of our time. The Genius of Money addresses this challenge by presenting an accessible and engaging worldview based on the assumption that money and spirit are deeply connected. It proposes that only if the intersection of spirit and money is taken into account can the financial world be truly reimagined. In response to the economic crisis of our times, John Bloom offers a practical spirituality that assays the financial world as it plays out in our daily lives through our transactions.

The book is divided into three, sections. "The Poetics of Money", tells, something of the cultural story of money by looking at works of art from the Renaissance to Pop and Conceptual art, and exploring these different modes of artistic expression as a way to understand how our own attitudes toward money are formed through the cultural messages we digest, both unconsciously and conscioulsy. Artists have always recognized the iconic power of money, moralized through it, played on its replicability, and suggested some of its archetypal power.

"The Topography of Transactions" explores the inner landscape of financial transactions. By looking at the different qualities of money and how we work with them inwardly and in our relationships, the connection between money, human development, and consciousness emerges as a kind of experiential guide; faith hope, and love-powerful forces in our lives-become central to our financial well being.

"A Wealth of Transformation" consists of interviews with individual who have transformed themselves, as they have transformed the world, through social entrepreneurship, philanthropy, philosophical inquiry into money, investing and spiritual practice. Such people are exemplars, representatives of the many individuals today who have recognized that the financial world must change if we are to have peace in the world.
