Decent mystery, gets going from the start, and I found it to be not the same-old mystery.

This is a great concept, but very disjointed and some of the plot could have been delved into more deeply. Still a good read.

It's a quick read, had a great plot, and it keeps you turning the page, but it's poorly written. I just felt that some parts were scattered a bit. Most definitely not the worst book i've ever read though.

I found the dialog between characters awkward in some places, some paragraphs end abruptly.

This was a really good book. The books in this series keep getting better and better! Page turner for sure

The story had such potential: a haunted house, a woman alone in a cabin in the woods, and a series of murders. But the story was really marred by seriously sexist characters and writing, a heroine who can't think of anything but sex with a coworker despite still having a shaved head full of stitches from a wound inflicted by her abusive husband, and terrible editing. The editing was a surprise; I normally trust Carina Press, and I checked the book twice to make sure it really was the Harlequin line because the copy editing was that bad. I might consider another book from this author, but this one I couldn't get myself to finish.

It's rare that I don't finish a book, but I just couldn't get past the terrible editing and multiple grammar errors. The book needs a thorough line edit. The story started out promising but grew muddled and the characters irritating.

A male ghost from a previous era takes over the body of a living being in order to continue it's evil killing, giving modern day police a run for their money. I gave it 4 stars because at times it was difficult to follow. The story jumped from one scene to another without warning or preparation.
