What would it be like to share your home with a ghost? How would you adjust to apparitions or voices or things that go bump in the night?

This fascinating collection contains more than twenty astounding yet true stories about psychic occurrences and uncanny phenomena. With the aid of reputable psychics, famed "ghost hunter" Hans Holzer has researched these cases, interviewing numerous ordinary people who share their days and nights with spectral visitors, both friendly and hostile.

In The Ghost Hunter’s Strangest Cases, Dr. Holzer reopens his files to unfold the most striking cases of people in various walks of life who suddenly, without warning, crossed paths with the Unknown. Before their paranormal encounters, most of the witnesses interviewed herein knew little or nothing about ghosts; none of them sought out these strange visitations. The true stories in this book come from all corners of this country—from New England, to our nation’s capital, to deep in the heart of the South, and all the way to California—these inquiring people went to Holzer for advice, often because they could not obtain satisfactory counsel from ordinary sources, such as psychologists or psychiatrists.

If this book represents The Ghost Hunter's strangest cases, he needs to get out more. The stories are dull. The telling of the stories is bland. There seem to be numerous editorial mistakes. The stories themselves are so devoid of substance as to seem to be made up-high school quality. If these are true tales, there should be more support material from credible eyewitnesses. In 'The Ghostly Usher of Minneapolis', the principal 'witnesses' seem to be school age kids looking to create some fun for themselves. The author also hints that the 'ghost' and a friend both died 'violently long before their time' seemingly to make some connection. Apparently there is no connection as this is never followed up in the rest of the story. This sort of poor story telling goes on untill the end of the book. Overall, this book is a throw-away. I cannot recommend it on any level.
