Meet the Author

Graham Murray is no new kid on the block. He has been arranging words for almost 40 years now and has a tight, staunch and elite readership that like their minds messed with and who enjoy the myriad hints, clues and titbits dotted throughout his stories.

Like most authors of his generation, he started out with short story publications and won several contests, his first at the age of eight.
He tends to write classic stories that evoke a strong emotional response, so you either love it or hate it. There’s not much grey area in his writing and he’s definitely not for those who want it all spelled out for them.

His titles often contain obtuse, devious lines and plots that can elude readers who tend to skim over stories. Every word counts in Graham’s stories.

There is often a strong humanitarian component, especially when it comes to death, and loss and grief, and he has mastered the art of leading and misleading readers to exactly where he wants them . . . until the punch line, where all is revealed. A few of his riddles have yet to be solved.
Graham has also won screenplay awards.

Acquaintance and author, Sir Terry Pratchett, has been a huge influence on his works and continues to inspire him daily.

Graham's stories, “Thou Shalt Not Cheat”, “Talking to Carmen”, and "Comin' Through" are typical examples of his humour and writing style.
Love him or hate him, there’s no doubt that Graham is prolific, with some 60 publications in 2011 alone.

His 'adult' titles are fast gaining popularity. With their intense, hard-hitting reality and vivid, descriptive style, it's like being there!

Entire story is told in the overview

There is nothing more to the story. Death's reasons are not explored, nor are the consequences of his actions.

    Requires a sense of Humanity.

You thought the story "sucked" (great vocabulary there) because you lack a simple sense of humanity. This short touches on a few very poignant topics, with a very clever play on words at the end. Clearly you missed this.
Judging by your comments, it is clear you are still very young and should probably not be reading books that require some life experience.
The story is well thought out, well presented and carries a simple message from which we can all learn something.
