I found this book amazing! It really helped me get through school, and it helped my mum better understand me and the way i learn. It will do really well for people trying to understand dyslexics and people trying to overcome their dyslexia. It helped me with everything from understanding myself, to what i was going threw, to how to overcome it. It did everything but help me spell. But they have spellcheck for that.

I read this book the summer before my daughter went into the 9th grade. She had been struggling with dyslexia all through school and we had tried all kinds of interventions. Some of the interventions helped a little but nothing truly helped like this book. We did everything the author suggested and when she started school in the fall she was getting all A's except in French. After reading this book I felt like I could understand what she was seeing when she was reading and why she was seeing it that way. She loves reading now and it was this book that made that happen!

I have a daughter that is dyslexic and I am searching avidly for anything to help her. While this book gives a pretty good picture about what it is like having dyslexia and a very optimistic attitude, unfortunately it does not back many of the statements with any fact. I stopped reading at, 'when I was a child I had a problem with autism'. Autism does not go away and the author lost much credibility with me right there, making me question other possibly good and relative points. I do not normally review anything, but as a parent desperately searching for help and answers I feel an obligation to state my opinion and save someone else time and money that is precious in the obstacle we are facing. May God bless you and your search.

It was Divine Intervention that I was fortunate enough to meet the author! I didn't know this book existed until I kept running into him by his office everyday. I worked in the same building and we struck up a conversation,  I found out what he did because I saw a lot of kids going to his office.  He told me how he helped kids with dyslexia and I told him about my daughter. He GAVE me this book and I when I read it, I could not put it down!  I even cried, because now I finally understood my daughter and why she had such a hard time learning. I  apologized to my daughter and began to teach her some of the methods in this book! Miraculously, she reads and writes like a genius now!  Thank you Ronald! God Bless you!
