There once was a boy, Who met an animal that filled his life with joy,

He met Life, the coolest Giraffe, That taught him to have fun and laugh,

Life told him, this art is nothing to fear, Child, just listen here,

Improv is more than a noun, warm-up or game, Improv lets us learn about life and being humane,

It's for any kind of folk, As long as we grace the stage without a single line or joke,

Whether it's Los Angeles, Denver or Chicago we shift, It's a bond to perform knowing all will uplift, Learning to positively accept every gift,

Like a basketball court, It's all about support, support, support,

Audiences sit in captivation, Admiring the way we use our imagination,

Everyone is welcome no matter what anyone will say, Improvisers are White, Black, Asian, Short, Tall & Gay, Amazing teachers support us by cheering Yay,

Some performers are sensitive and shy, But the success lies with the lack of deny,

We know we've been properly christened, When our main goal is to listen, listen,

With pleasure everyone picks up slack, Improvisers have your back, So sit back and relax your crack,

Forms have been showcased in an ordinary fashion, Improv is beautiful because it's our passion,

If we give it the honor to call it our art, We must do it justice by playing from our heart,
