    A delightfully entertaining romance

Delores Fossen delivers a delightfully entertaining romance in The Deputy Gets Her Man and shows readers that she is more than capable of creating both suspenseful and amusing romances with a style that is all her own. Years ago, Rayanne Garret was on top of the world. After spending her childhood chasing after and loving Rios McKay, he was finally hers. And she was ready to prove her love by taking the next step and gifting Rios with her greatest gift ¿ her virginity. Only cowboy and ladies man, Rios, couldn't handle the responsibility of her gift and threw it right back in her face, leaving Rayanne hurt, embarrassed and unable to face the pain of seeing him everyday. Rather than stay in her hometown with her beloved aunt, Rayanne ran as fast and as far away from Longhorn as she could and never looked back. Eleven years later, Rayanne is one of New York's finest and has finally stopped running. And just when Rayanne was feeling like she could stop thinking about home and Rios, he shows up to fetch her home in order to bail her aunt out of jail. Rayanne will do anything for her aunt, and while she's home she figures she might as well give the sheriff a piece of her mind for arresting a little old lady. She's in for the shock of her life when she finds out that the sheriff she wants to give a piece of her mind to is the same man she wanted to give herself to all those years ago. And if she wants to help clear her aunt of all the charges against her, then she is going to have to work side by side with Rios as his deputy. And if that wasn't enough to shock her, finding out that Rios has a little girl should complete the job. A motherless little girl who has decided that Rayanne is the perfect mother candidate. And with a little help from a meddling old lady, this little girl just might get her wish. After all, Rios and Rayanne must still feel something for each other; otherwise, they wouldn't always be caught half-naked and looking like they were up to something. Can Rios heal the hurt he caused Rayanne all those years ago and make the family that his daughter craves with the only woman he has ever loved? He sure hopes so, because this time he doesn't think he will be able to let her go. With the crazy antics of her delightful characters, Delores Fossen keeps you laughing till you cry. From her aunt's crazy matchmaking to Rayanne always getting caught with underwear stuck to different parts of her body after make-out sessions with Rios, Delores keeps the laughs coming. And along the way she gave readers a lesson in forgiveness and understanding as she showed us that time does heal all wounds, if you are strong enough to let it.
