    So helpful!

    I got this as a way to help me through the maze at Babies 'R Us! I'm so glad I did. It does not just tell you what you should buy and what you shouldn't... It actually explains the items that they tell you are not worth buying. It's not just a "do not buy this!" they give you the pros and cons to getting the item so you can decide for yourself if it is something you may want/need. It is definitely better than asking someone at the store! I've discovered that most sales people at big name stores do not have much in-depth knowledge on their items.

    A Must For 1st Time Parents

    I'm not typically a big book reader, but I saw this book and thought - wow, I hope its as useful as it sounds. It was better than I could have imagined. This book was my bible and still kept close by.The girlfriends offer practical, informative, and unbiased information in what can be an overwhelming sea of choices. They are also aware of family budgets. They discuss everything you'd ever want to ask from lists you'll need, safty concerns, different types, do's and don't's and with a sense of humor but yet being very serious. At times it was hilarious and I felt like they really were my girlfriends speaking right to me. I can't imagine not having this book and trying to figure out what I needed, didn't need and what was downright dangerous. I took this book to heart and bought it for 2 friends - but they couldn't have my copy. We are finally all set our baby has everything he needs, we kept to our budget and we know all is safe. We're just siting back waiting for the arrival in the next 2 weeks. Thanks to the 'girlfriends'. I wish they wrote one on breast feeding.

    Great choice for first-parents to-be!

    We have found this book to be extremely helpful in guiding us in this new territory. It gives you a lot of great tips, suggested items and even brands, and sites to keep you updated. Very enjoyable read, to the point and balanced.
